Habs Season Thread: 2024-25 Regular Season

Canadiens have acquired forward Arnaud Durandeau from the New Jersey Devils in exchange for forward Nathan Légaré.

You can still make trades after deadline day, the players just aren't eligible for the playoffs. But if a trade is made involving a non-playoff team it's a moot point. So the Habs can still trade Savard, Armia, or any other player if they want.

I am so not looking forward to going tomorrow.

First, our team is brutal and we have little chance of winning.

Second, I will miss my son's last ever games in minor hockey (he has one at 4pm and then was support to meet me at Rogers but his team has done better than expected so he might have a medal game later). I told him he can miss the Canadiens for a gold medal game but he isn't sure what he wants to do yet.

Third, the constant losing is depressing as hell

Sell your tickets, PVR the game and go watch your son play. The Habs will still suck next season and you will not be missed at Rogers Arena.

It's really not a hard decision, or at least it shouldn't be. He's never going to play another minor hockey game after tomorrow. Spend some quality time with him before he's deployed to the Ukrainian steppe.
