Habs Season Thread: 2024-25 Regular Season

I've never been a Montembault fan, so seeing him struggle is not that much of a surprise to me.

I think some have made him out to be better than what he really is because he played next to Primeau & Allen these last three seasons.

But in the end, Montembault is paid about what he's worth: A good backup's money. He just shouldn't be playing as much.

Problem now is, can Dobes continue playing and putting those numbers if he plays more often? I'm of the opinion that we should throw him in the pool without a life jacket see if he can swim.

It can be risky, right now he's feeling good and playing well but what happens if he starts getting lit up on the regular? No need to swing from one to another, I'd just establish a regular alternance and gradually increase his charge. He seems to have the right personality for it, and I like his style in net, more aggressive. Monty plays deep, which is why he has trouble on some of those mid range shots.
