I brought this up when he was hired and was brushed aside - has anyone asked why Jacobs wouldn’t remove interim label from Gorton, who started within the Bruins org as a college intern and worked his way up the hockey ops ranks? Instead preferring to go outside the org to hire Chia-pet?

Exactly. Work culture matters in almost every endeavour. The media can’t really report on it accurately because they are on the outside, so we get a lot of BS stories

McDavids big SCF speech led to them losing the next game.

Fun thing I learned yesterday. The NHL is counting shots differently now (thanks to gambling I assume).

Apparently they are more accurate and don't count shots if pucks are missing the net but are saved. I do wonder the impact of that on shooting percentage and save percentage.

Monty at 901 might not be as bad as I'd assume

The team is not well coached and I have concerns over the handling of Slafkovsky.

Slafs play is on him, he signed the big contract, he is a star in Montreal, I am not giving up on him at all, but he needs to check the ego and understand what got him here, I believe he will.
