Habs Season Thread: Regular Season 2025-26

Lane is a Hart Trophy candidate, let alone Norris. But the national media is too enamoured with Macklin C right no

Dach - Suzuki - Caufield
Slaf - Kapanen - Demigod
Newhook - Danault - Gallagher
Laine / Bolduc - Evans - Anderson

Hutson - Guhle
Matheson - Dobson
Xhekaj - Carrier

Fowler / Diekembe

Something’s going to give, unless Laine / Dach are done for the season there’s an inevitable deal coming of some sort to address F
I think Hugo is done , depth will be eating corn nuts in the stands with Gorton

Right now, I don’t see how we can justify taking Texier out of the lineup. Gallagher or Boldest might have to sit.

Also, that’s what i mean when I’m saying that i don’t know where Hage would fit this season.

I'm with you...given the ELC burnout perk, I can see them slotting him into a regular season game and then he'll eat a lot of great food in Montreal and only play if injuries. Or maybe he'll want to win a Calder Cup in Laval? A lot will depend on how far Michigan goes in the NCAA playoffs

No Texier? I don’t see that happening.

In a sense the injuries were kind of a blessing to build up some depth. We wouldn't have been able to add Texier and Danault otherwise, or give some of our prospects a look and some NHL experience.
bingo , sometimes there is a silver lining

Even Beck doesnt look out of place

I assume because of the Olympics the nhl season ends later than normal compared to NCAA

And Hage would take the dach spot. Because I don't trust him to he good AND healthy

But it's also why I don't see for forward trade happening. No room unless it is for a star level player which seems highly unlikely

It’s possible that we make an actual hockey trade (not your typical deadline deal) because we have a lot of surplus talent including like Engstrom who I like but when will he ever crack the lineup at full strength?
