That has tremendous potential to just have a first line of Knies, Papi, Domi
Robertson has a chance to stay on this team in that spot with Nylander on yes the third line, and for a while Holmberg and then Robertson can play on his strong side and be replaced by patches for the play offs and go back when he's hurt.
And Holmberg goes back in a package to Nashville for ROR

Would be fun to get him back, but it could work out badly. This year plus 3 more, would absolutely need the full 50% retention.
And you can't really give up anything of real value for him, can you? Especially not with his current numbers.

Realistically yes. But who knows? Willy's a 100-point beast now, so maybe if he has some special connection to his bro on the ice, he can do as Mats Sundin used to do and manufacture a useful winger for us.
So where does unsexy Nylander plug into this lineup?
Can't imagine they signed him only to lose him on waivers or stick him in the press box.

I have no idea how emergency recalls work, tbh.
Under any normal circumstance though, he needs waivers to go back down to the AHL.

He was never waived in the first place because he was on an AHL deal. So he’d have to clear.
