Off Topic: recommend a knee surgeon?

Torn LCL and ACL. Surgery in a few weeks after all the swelling goes down. Senior season is done. He got clip blocked right in his knee with a helmet. It was completely intentional. That's the most frustrating part of it.

That makes it even worse, getting injured on a dirty play.

After about 4 hours, he's all done and home recovering. Thanks! Dr said it wasn't easy but went well and he's happy with the results. LCL patched and stitched up, ACL replaced.

Physically he will be fine in several months. But the emotional damage will linger. Getting intentionally hurt halfway through your senior season, and probably now falling off the radar of the colleges you've been talking to, stings. It's a tough pill to swallow to see it all fall away due to one person's cowardice/bad decision.

Yeah, that's a tough one. People are sometimes more emotionally resilient than we think though.
