Trump's lawyers don't actually want the Supreme Court to declare that Presidential immunity exists because if it does, then Biden will have it the second the gavel comes down. At that point he could have Trump put up against a wall and shot. What they want is to drag it out so that the classified documents case and the treason case never see the light of day prior to the election.

They said the judge erred in allowing the prosecutors to bring witnesses that established a pattern of behaviour but weren’t part of the charges against him (other victims)
