We might not get a trial before the election but it, uh, doesn’t seem great politically to just have a Trump lawyer get up and say Trump can do anything he wants til 2028 including assassinating Biden and no one could stop him. He’s only losing votes with this shit

Two reasons I can think of for this.

1. Pecker is basically saying, yes, we supported Trump, which is not a crime. Also there were a lot of crazy stories about Trump, you can’t believe any of them. Not sure how this helps his defence overall, but maybe he thinks it helps his reputation? Will make Melania believe that he didn’t sleep with Stormy?

2. Pecker still has more dirt on Trump.
