You're correct that it is censorship however they have engaged in censorship before will again. So What do you propose as the fix..
Remember this is not the Government censoring you.

If I made a post saying ____ is a ______ and you or a mod deleted it that is also censorship. (And quite legal) The real question is where are the lines. And you can also opine that Twitter doesn't do it consistently. (Much like NHL refs) I'll even agree.

So then the question is did the material give the information that twitter states was the reason it was blocked. I honestly don't know but I am suspecting it did. (even as pdf's of an email) If I posted that info for someone else I bet it will also be blocked.

Stephen Miller's home address is still circulating on Twitter, Trumps taxes (hacked btw) and a slew of other hacked and personal details so I call bullshit. This is a pick and choose policy and my opinion is that it was clearly politically motivated and absolutely nothing will change my mind. Again, I have no issue of a warning page like they have used thousands of times but a flat out ban without investigation is too heavy handed for my taste. You have a right to your opinion, same as me.

I don't believe one word of that tweet thread because of the inconsistent use of the personal info and hack material BS. I'd have sooner preferred fake news/propaganda than the BS they are hiding behind.

Agreed. NY Post should actually be thanking them as I read their site got absolutely slammed with traffic once this "confrontation" happened.

Also, they will subpoena Dorsey and Zuckerberg. Watch it just be Dorsey as Zuck dumps a lot of money to them. There is nothing they can do about what happened but they will use a sham hearing to keep it in the news up until election day.

Twitter is trying to do the right thing, but its impossible. Its clear the impact of miss information on social media in the election cycle. Unlike Facebook, Twitter actually appears to understand they have a responsibility for how the platform is used.

But at the end of the day its just people making these decisions, and I don't even know how many billions of tweets there are a day, in how many countries. Its an impossible job.

I'm not sure if there is actually a bias in their censorship, or the right are just bigger whiners.

I think Dorsey was spot on. The lack of explanation for the Ban was "inexcusable" - his word. They had to explain it better before doing it.

Someone is getting fired over that.

Help me out habsy...where do I look for the outrage posts when the gop was blocking information in the Mueller report to the public? How about their redactions?

...just give me a rough idea, shouldn't be hard to find what with the pages you obviously went on and on about it.

So you really find it difficult that a guy that started his own hockey site because he was fed up with censorship and over-moderation and a guy that lets pretty much everything go on the site that NO other site would let go has a problem with censorship?

That's it....not partisan, just a witness to the accident. Throw Trump in and I literally do not understand anybody siding with the gop right now.

That's just it.

What is social media but someone offering up their opinion on something? Except that it's hundreds of millions of people saying it to a gazillion others. There's really no enforcing this.

As I said in PM, you're comparing apples to oranges. Redaction is a political trick used for eons by ever administration ever. Twitter is a global news source, as I said don't kid yourself, that is exactly what they are. They aren't comparable.

Do I wish they wouldn't play the stupid political games, oh do I ever, but they will continue to show only what they want seen and that people is absolutely #bothsides.

After the debacle that wasn't...Hillary's emails...and the odds that it cost her the election...I understand what they were doing.
