Likely none that will have the balls to run. A lot of these real estate moguls have ties to Russia and Deutschebank, they're just smart enough to stay out of the limelight.

I'm not sure what you're arguing anymore so have at it. My position is that a nonviolent, illegitimate takeover of power = a coup. I also think it is likely that if Trump loses the election, he cries foul. What happens beyond that, who knows, but I do not expect him to leave office quietly. And I'll echo the general consensus about the margin of victory impacting how much of a fight Trump/GOP put up. I recognize we are discussing hypothetical future scenarios.

I'm not sure I see anyone arguing about what hasn't happened or will never happen - this all started when you objected to ME characterizing a hypothetical scenario as a coup. I still haven't seen anything that would indicate that, were the scenario to come to fruition, it is anything other than a coup.

I agree with your position, what I don't agree with are the details of said nonviolent illegitimate takeover of power. If they successfully take power from a duly elected president then yes, it is a coup. If they simply whine about it? No that is not an attempted coup, that is Trump being Trump.

I think the Trump appointees aren't getting a fair shake TBH. Gorsuch and Kavanaugh are four corner constitutional judges and that is what people don't like. It is black and white to them, no grey.

Actually I don't mind Gorsuch. my only complaint regarding him is that that seat should have been Obama's appointee. He's deserved of his position though I don't agree with him on several things. Kavanaugh I have more issue with namely his conduct in the hearing was terrible and should have been disqualifying. If I had done that for any JOB INTERVIEW regardless of the questions asked I would NEVER get hired.

i can only see how if stuff started opening up it would make it worse for him because more and more people would personally know somebody fucked up or killed by covid - which wont help him in the voter's booth

Don’t assume he has a strategy other than getting immediate positive affirmation from his 50 million fans. He’s like a popular but shitty comedian. Being President is just a platform — but the job itself does not interest him all that much (hence all the golfing trips and rallies)
