I will say that I have a relative in Florida who had similarly low oxygen levels as Trump and left the hospital a couple days later. She still has some complications, mind you, but for the sake of fairness it is possible that his condition has improved significantly in a day or two. I hope not, but it's very possible.

They almost certainly would have pumped him even more full of drugs than they would your relative, too, so yeah, a mostly recovery makes some sense.

But almost certainly there's going to be some lasting effects, knowing the level of lung damage or pneumonia or whatnot Trump had should certainly be a story in the next little bit. And obviously watching to see if Trump has a relapse or other comlpications.

I also don't see how this helps him get extra votes. The folks who thought he downplayed and mishandled COVID aren't changing their minds based on more supportive evidence.

I guess he only cares about his base, and would do anything not to lose any one of them.
