Hey gang, long time no pow wow, happen to check in see what y'all are chirping about the Semin acquisition.
Personally I love it, poor mans version of a second coming of Kovalev, fans will love him if he gets enough minutes and starts potting a few classic Mike Bossy style goals, might be best natural goal scorer we've had in a while...)
Anyways, I speak a lot with my appliance repair specialist, (me: 17 years selling real estate), and he says, in his 30+ years experience:
If you want a simple, inexpensive machine that rarely breaks down, and when it does, it's cheap and easy to order parts, and is a simple machine
for a normal el cheapo repair guy to fix, (with no electronic black boxes and computerized panel modules to replace at $300 a pop).....
go Sears/Roper.
If you want fancy schmancy, million drying selections and dryer top vibrator attachment options....that comes with the frequent breakdowns and expensive diagnosis and repair bills, then there's plenty of exotic brands out there that consumer reports, etc...report on.
Maybe Samsung is ok though, didn't ask my guy.
If wifey does not mind simple, or even prefers simple (mine does, 2 buttons is enough, dry type/timer, and start)
then a <$400 Roper might live longer then you might, at least, that's if you keep up a happy pace of enjoying nice cold Sams on a regular basis!
Long live my friend Lapin and Mrs. Lapin's new dryer!
Cheers,
Tony aka Disco Lafleur
