OT: NFL thread

Tyrod was fine today.

Not great but he wasn't the problem

Problems In no particular order.

1) Too many penalties when they were having good drives (see Rex Ryan Team's MO)
2) Total lack of playmakers for Tyrod to get the ball to. (see the injury list)
3) Defense couldn't stop Brady and Co... (This just in: New England is pretty good).

The Packers are decimated by injuries. No Cobb, no Matthews. Half the damn team is on IR. That game shouldn't have been close but Rodgers nearly won it singlehanded.

I wouldn't get too excited about the Cowboys being able to dominate the NFC Least, especially since they've been very fortunate with their injuries. But if anything happens to Prescott and Romo has to come in off the bench god help you.

And I thought they "fixed" the unfair overtime rules by allowing both teams the opportunity to possess the ball. Just because you have to score a TD rather than a field goal doesn't really change the fact that the most important play in overtime is often the result of the coin toss.

You never cut us slack when half our team was on IR last year nor when we lost two OT games after losing coin toss.

Every team in NFC East is over .500.

Habsy told me he is a rising star

He is an average starting QB who has a contract that pays him like a franchise player next year. If they miss the playoffs again GM , Rex and the entire staff is gone . Team has a D that isn't that good and they start over rather commit to Tyrod 20 mil next year .

STFU you bloody hypocrite. Bills are far more banged up than the packers yet you spew your garbage. Packers lost, suck it up butter cup.

As old Wehavs would say, it doesn't matter if Cowboys are good, all that matters is that they were good enough to beat the Packers.

Still wish we took Ramsey over Zeke?

Is that even a serious question?

100%. Not even worth debating in my mind.

The best offensive line in football would make just about any running back look good, including Alfred Morris and Darren McFadden.

With Cobourne & Church out, the secondary is even more exposed than it was previously.

Zeke is far better as his position than Ramsey is at his. McFadden had the same line and look at his numbers.

Zeke is so dominant it is amazing.

He has a real impact.

Utterly irrelevant.

You can find a dozen of quality running backs every single year and you don't have to spend much to get them. Are they as good as Zeke? Obviously not. But with the best O-Line in the NFL, they don't have to be in order to be efficient.

And what about McFadden? He got a thousand yards last year when every team knew the Cowboys were going to run a lot because they couldn't pass. Cowboys were 9th in rushing last year with a below average back. What killed them was bad defense and even worse quarterbacks, they were 27th in passing offense.

Really good corners are so hard to find, it's why so many mediocre ones get a lot of money. If you're able to draft one and have him a on rookie contract, all assuming he delivers, that is much greater value than a stud running back.

It is not irrelevant in the least.

As Michaels and Collinsworth said last week, sure Ramsey is a great corner or could be, but Zeke is a possible HOF generational back. and you cannot pass that up.

As an RB with a rookie 4th round QB running the team, Zeke still has almost 900 yards in eight games after only having 52 or so in the first.

I don't think they were thinking Zeke but when he fell to them, they had to take him. Hell, the money they are making off Zeke jersey sales alone makes it worth the pick. We haven't had this dominant a RB since Smith in the years 92-95 when other teams knew we were handing it to him and they still couldn't stop him.
