OT: Politics & News... Have at it.

Well if you lived in an area and another group came in and took your land, you would likely be upset too. Give the Paleatinians a state, stop building settlements in disputed territories and hope the problem goea away.

I am positive in my beliefs that even if you gave the Palestinians there land, the first thing that will happen will be ''outside'' influence use that land to better attack Israel.

Until the Arabs show us proof that they can actually have real democracy, there is no way Israel will give them what they want. Israel is in a constant state of ''war'' with the countries surrounding it. The second Israel becomes ''soft'', it will be the end of them. Big disappoint !!!

So put yourself in their shoes Count....Israel cannot (and shouldn't) negotiate with lunatics.

in a war, both sides can rationalize their stance

and I am sure given the Palestinians know that Israel and its supporters like you, many of whom are Israel right or wrong types, will never stop the settlements, make any land agreements so they are desperate and will continue to do what they will do

Put yourself in a Palestinian's shoes

The Palestinians had a chance in the late 90's to get most of what they wanted but said no to Clinton (and Ehud Barak) because it wasn't everything that they wanted. That was a big mistake given that Bibi was then elected, largely in response to their rejection of that offer. Oh well. #bigmistakebythepalestenians. . .again

I have never stated the Palestinians are blameless, but it was there land for about 2000 years, there were basically no jews there. They only started moving back in the early 1900s. Does Israel have a right to exist, needless to say, but the Palestinians deserve a country too.

I have a really easy way to resolve the matter. Stop all settlements in the conquered territories which were obtained by an aggressive war started by Israel. Obama/next US President needs to tell Netanyahu his next aid cheque will go missing if he builds any more settlements in the conquered territories.

2 state solution, Israel keeps its borders but any of the conquered territories in the West Bank become the Palestinian state. US says to Palestine, we deduct 1 million from aid to you for every Israeli killed in a terrorist attack and the US gets to decide if it is terrorist or not.

Come on, you're smarter than that.....

The ideal solution would have been for the Arab countries to accept the Palestinians as refugees when all this started....but it's a little known dirty secret that none of the Arab countries actually like the Palestinians or want them to immigrant into their countries....so in a way, Israel is not the only ''people'' that don't want anything to do with the Palestinians.

The Arab world is far more hypocritical than the US-Israel world

Why should the Palestinians have to move out their homeland?

Because they refused to find a common ground solution, and have refused to do so for the last 50+ years.

When the land was given to Israel, that land was not a legal/official country, and it did not belong to anyone (regardless of what people say).
The same way France decided a long time ago that Lebanon would not be part of the Syrian land anymore, and would be separated as a distinct country. Shit happens, not everyone likes it, but it happens, and it was done LEGALLY on the international level.
