OT: Politics & News... Have at it.

Harper should be hung by his testicles at center square for daring to use "God bless" Canada...

Governing of people in a democracy has no place for tinker bells in the sky - separation of church & state is paramount to governing.

Give me a break. You have your panties in a bunch over that? He's not the first PM or President to use that term. Just wait until Turdeau's buddy Omar starts pushing for certain parts of Sharia law in Canada, we'll see what you libs say then.

And we all know that it's coming....you can't give these people this much ''space''...they will take over because we are weak minded and don't have enough balls to stand up for our Canadian culture

My stance has always been the "rich world" needs to team up incinerate that entire middle region of the globe - man, woman, child regardless of Jew, Christian or muslim into oblivion & ashes then collectively start a fruitful logical rebuild.

I am all in for religious genocide & the atheist/scientific gattaca state.

I won't lie, the thought crossed my mind several times as well.

I was an advocate of turning the entire middle east into a parking lot 30 years ago. But since that's never going to happen we just need to stay out of the region and let them kill each other off.

Exactly. We should not get involved.

Neither the US nor Canada should be there but especially not Canada. Unlike the US, we don't even pretend to be the world's policemen so we really have no business sending any part of our military personnel or equipment there. Sending troops into a war zone would also neccessitate an increase in the budget for the defence ministry and that's not where we need to be spending our money right now. We've got plenty of problems of our own right here at home to take care of before we start travelling around the globe telling other people how to live.

In truth, the US needs to learn this lesson as well but hubris like they have is hard to penetrate with anything, even logic. The only time they ever learn is when they get bitch-slapped like they did in Vietnam. Then you get about 5 years worth of a reality check before the revisionist hawks start blaming liberals and peacenicks for the failure of the mission.

Holy **** man... i know you are likely being a bit over the top, and a bit sarcastic here, but advocating genocide even as a joke is ****ed up.

I've heard a lot of people mention that nuking the Middle East would be better off for everyone else on the planet. Now they aren't serious and you can't literally nuke one area of the planet without affecting the rest of the planet but their point is that the Middle East has been nothing but death and destruction for as long as anyone can remember.

Heck I have few memories of being a toddler but I still remember playing with my dinky cars when I was around 7 years old in front of my parents as they watched the local news and when the International news segment came on it was always about war concerning Beirut, Isreal, Palestine, Hezbollar, etc. It still goes on today and has only expanded to the rest of the world since then thanks to terrorism.

The US and Japan were against each other in the 40's but became best allies by the 80's... yes that is a simplified answer to the US dropping the atomic bombs forcing Japan into surrendering but they still managed to be best buds years later. Even the IRA and the British have calmed down the violent acts that were going on for years but the Middle East problems just fester on and on like a black hole.

Syria right now is a playland for the biggest manufacturers of weapons on the planet with the likes of Russia, the US, Syria, the Coalition and ISIS all testing their new toys. What a mess.

No one has the answer for over there so wiping it all out and starting over pops into one's head even if that is never going to happen.

Notice how all the relationships that have been repaired have been between Christian states and peaceful religions (budddhism) whereas the instability still lies in areas concerning 1 main religion?

I wonder how that picture got past the Liberal PR folks. Looks like Mrs. Trudeau is holding a fake gun and has her finger on the trigger.
