That does work though the tissue keeps shifting. Better than nothing though.

I noticed someone in front me at Loblaws sans mask...when it was my turn to pay, I brought it up with the cashier and her reply was "I didn't want to deal with it". I don't blame her.

The maskless lady then went on to line up at the internal Starbucks, so I pointed her out to the security dude on my way out.

Boring story, I know, but the fact that this was an odd sighting for me shows how much compliance there is in Toronto.

As an aside, I was hanging out with someone who owns a resto in Prince Edward County, and they have their fair share of complaining Karen's over there.

gotta say, compliance in Hali is very close to 100%. makes me feel a lot better about being out and about doing things like groceries.

pre smart phone days so we didn't get a video, but leafman and i once had a front row seat to a skirmish that escalated into a knife fight. everybody was screaming at each other in Arabic - so we had no clue what caused it - but women were crying and grasping at their men not to join in, all of the shops in the cul-de-sac closed and pulled down their metal gates, punches, kicks and then one of the guys reached through the metal gate of the falafel shop we had just bought lunch from and all hell broke loose.

the end might have been the best part. heard sirens and they scattered.

I saw a report on Marketplace and they state that if a mask wearer's glasses fog up, it indicates that the mask is not fitting properly. 😷
 
Shape and size of face, especially those with larger noses, matters. Fogging usually indicates the standard mask is not large enough.

My understanding is that fogging is more prevalent when the mask doesn’t fit tight enough across the nasal bridge.
Since you cannot try on a mask before buying one fit is not easy to determine.

I finally found a solution. My daughter bought a bunch of flexible metal strips that stick on to the top of the mask that help in forming a tighter seal across top of the mask.
 
It may still fog up in certain areas. One issue we have here is walking out of air conditioning into humidity. Glasses fog up all the time, more so with a mask on.
 
Yeah. I had that problem during the summer and mask or no mask the sub zero temperatures have always been a problem. I’m not sure there is much of a solution for that.

I have found that the mask with a good flexible bar does make a difference in the cold weather. Warm moisture from your breath is directed through the mask as opposed to leaking out the top of the mask.

Now that I have a solution for the excessive fogging I need one to prevent the yearly issue of my eyes watering in the cold so that I can see where I’m going. Winter is becoming really inconvenient.
 
Yeah I hear you. I was done with winter 35 years ago. No point in waiting I thought.
