OT: The M-Fing Food Thread

I mean, half a lime wouldn't drench the chips as long as it's just not squeezed in one spot in the center of the bowl, and even then it probably wouldn't. The best part of mexican food is finding a way to get lime all over the chips. So good.

But I'm a lime/lemon and salt fiend and use them whenever I can.

This is back before I converted. I was unaware of the power of lime juice and salt on everything.

The one and only problem with Mexican food is that it's so damn carby.

Before the meal even comes, I've completely stuffed myself with chips. And then there's always the soft taco or burrito for the main dish, and rice everywhere, and it's game over for the diet that day and a couple of days afterwards.

It's a massive cheat meal that, like pizza, I can only afford to partake in very infrequently.

I did have an amazing pizza lunch the other day though...

ehhh that sounds more like a LOF problem than a Mexican food problem

@LeafOfFaith I came really close to taking a picture of the product of my morning bowel movement yesterday to provide you with evidence that refutes your theory about the impact of Indian food on one's digestive system.

for better or worse, I did not snap the photo. but if you keep pushing this narrative, I may be forced to next time

also, not much redeeming about a trip to Brampton/Mississauga but holy moly the food is by far the best part.

cheap, filling, delicious, sufficiently exotic for this maritimer. don't think it's a stretch to call it the best collection of Indian food I've ever had...

Huh? What theory did I have that could possibly relate to that disgusting post?

NYT had an article several years ago ranking the best suburban dining spots in the continent — LA and Toronto were 1 and 2.

I’m jealous because I never get out to TO burbs despite my relative proximity
