So....
I still don't think anyone left in the playoffs can deal with what Denver is bringing.
But.
Who the fuck on Denver is guarding Jimmy?
Bruce Brown is probably too small. 6'7 230 vs 6'4 205, but he's their defensive specialist on the wing and kind of the default choice. Aaron Gordon maybe? A little big bigger than Jimmy but he's okay, just okay defensively. KCP is a plus defender, but same wtih Brown he's too small. Jimmy will just post their asses up all series.
Miami at least has a natural option to guard Jokic and Murray. Bam is very good defensively. Smaller than Jokic, but not a crazy amount against a guy who does most of his work in the P/R instead of down in the block. Lowry & Vincent are both decent enough to probably keep Murray from going apeshit.
It's an interesting series for matchups though, definitely.

Yeah I’d be more excited about this final than most of recent ones. Jokic and Butler being two of my fave non Raps helps. Would love either to get a ring, plus Kyle and Murray as well

Yeah that’s the other thing, both teams are so likeable and have done things the right way, you can kinda just sit back and enjoy the basketball, without being too heavily invested in one side or the other.
(That said, Go Nuggets, Miami fans deserve nothing)

The pressure is on Portland too, they are committed to Dame and he’s likely made it clear he wants at least one running mate. I don’t see a better option for them than the Raptors.
And frankly if you are dealing Pascal, you might as well deal OG, plus whatever you can get in a sign and trade for Freddy. Portland has enough assets where I don’t mind doing OG and Pascal in the same deal

Fwiw, if we trade Pascal I would be mildly surprised if Poeltl signs here. S&T is an option, but there's not a lot of reason to keep him. If a hard reset falls into our lap, may as well embrace it hard for a year.
