OT: The Official Toronto Raptors Thread

Sure, but Elon isn't the majority shareholder of tesla and has control. This isn't that weird of a situation.
Yeah, same with Zuck and others. But the headline is a bit misleading if you don't sell a majority stake that has control.

The way they say he retains control of basketball ops only sounds like he relinquished control in other ways.

I read that LAL for one is more interested in DDR and Caruso.

My guess on the Lavine destination is the Kings.

They feel like the closest combination of desperate for Lavine and contendery enough to do it, and they have assets.

They’re feeding Siakam. Showcase?

When Barnes was up to start the year Siakam was down. Siakam has been better and Barnes efficiency has tailed off.

Makes more sense for them as well tbh. If Demar didn't have baggage with this organization, I'd want him here as well. As a true 3rd option in LAL he would be a really nice piece. He does a lot well that they could use, especially when Lebron is on the bench. Caruso is an obvious, most of the league could use Caruso, but he's kind of ideal in LAL.

I still kind of don't get it from the Bulls standpoint...from Sacto's either, but moreso the Bulls. Why take on Harrison Barnes for 3 years to get this done. Is Barnes + Huerter and then picks the package? You're not really freeing up future salary with that move at all. For the Kings, spending 40+ for a guy to come in and be what...your spacer for Fox and 2nd perimeter option? I don't really the see the benefit for Sacto in taking the ball out of Fox's hands and putting it into Lavine's, and Huerter-Monk is already giving you the type of shooting you're going to get from an engaged Lavine as well, for half the price. Honestly, Sacto should be waiting until the deadline to fire their bullets and see if there's someone more interesting at the 3-4 who can fix some of their defensive issues. They don't need more outside scoring.
