He got a busted roster to play good, hard D for the second half...so gets a bit of consideration from me on that. But this is the roster he has, it's a weird fit in a few ways but more than enough ability to get 40 wins out of. They don't look like a 40 win team yet though, for sure.
 
not a coincidence that they made it a game late only after poeltl went out with the injury. his back is a mess he's been an absolute liability in the paint
 
with poeltl injured, CMB gets the start. after his performance last game i'm not surprised.

unfortunately for our now short lineup, the rockets are a freakishly tall team.
 
I'm going to wait on it but it's starting to look like Scottie's 3pt stroke might actually be fixed. Seems like he's slowed his whole motion down, much more deliberate, but much smoother and much more often in rhythm. And they're giving him lots of space out there cuz all the other scoring options.

but man is it nice to have mini-KD in a matchup against KD. BI is a bucket.
 
We're pot committed to this experiment and all, so just keep trying to make it work because there's no other option right now, but early signs are that it just can't defend well enough.

probably....but this has been some wicked offensive opponents in a row and our supposed anchor D center has either been crippled or out.

Yeah, it's not emergency time or anything, but not the start I was hoping for if we're looking for signs of this group somehow finding out a way to be more of the sum of the parts.
