OT: The Official Toronto Raptors Thread

only one half but easily the best the raps have looked..

Lol season so far for the raps. They’ve looked like contenders in all of their wins and bottom feeders in 3 of their 4 losses.

Pretty soft chunk of the schedule coming up as well

- Cavs twice is tough, but they're banged up right now
- Atlanta is more or less same level as us
- Philly off to a hot start but bad underlying nerdies, they probably suck
- Wizards, Nets, and Charlotte are 3 of the worst 4 teams in the league. No excuse to not win 4 of 5 minimum. 5 of 5 shouldn't be particularly hard.
- Indy is a bottom 10 nerdies team, but I expect a crazy game from Pascal or one of their Canadians to steal at least 1 of the 2.

Atlanta with no Trey which i think is bad for them.

I'm not convinced, but I'm also not a Trey believer. I don't think you can be a good team with bad point of attack defence and Trey is one of the worst defensive guards in the league. Daniels-NAW lack the ability to drive an offence, but I wouldn't be surprised if Atlanta was more or less the same just straight up without him as they are with him, which is probably not a great sign from your max salary franchise point guard.

Just trying to get him minutes. I think we'll see him, Jakobe, Battle and even CMB get moved up and down through out the season based on how they're playing, fitting into the rotation, etc. Mogbo is stuck behind Mamu, who is playing really well, and CMB, who they clearly want to get a good look at. I could see Mogbo's defence and rebounding combo win him CMB's minutes eventually though.

Webster will need to move some bodies at some point

Yeah, but not this year. The SG picture should clear up a bunch this year and if this efficient version of RJ sticks, they'll look to move on from 1 or 2 of Gravy, Jakobe, and Okai. Probably Okai unless he takes a significant step forward as well though, he's an RFA next summer and will likely be looking for 10-12 million with term. Unless he's a solid solid 3&D mid or high bench role player on a playoff team by the end of this season, let someone shit pay him instead. If RJ stays inefficient, or gets efficient and won't take similar (or less) money than he makes now, he's the one to go and we ride with the other 3 next year.

But there's no rush to make moves as long as they're playing well.
