and yeah, you've gotta keep FVV even on a bit of an overpay.

But don't be surprised if the numbers we're accustomed to just don't happen. Until we know what BRI was for the year, we can't know what the 2021 cap is going to be. There's been some mumblings of it dropping as much as 25-30 million next season.

That drop in cap is about right , cant overpay the midget

Too much for a complimentary player , Masai should be able to find a good player under contract in a trade

How much do you think good complementary players get paid? Dude is a great player defensively and offensively who was simply depended on to do far too much offensively with the current roster. And do you just want them to get rid of everyone? That's not a great plan IMO.

I will bet TD will be a better player with bigger minutes with salary control

It has nothing to do about dumping everyone , its about properly slotting everyone within your team structure and more importantly where your team is going

Look around the league those good complimentary players are the ones killing their teams cap right now

Tobias Harris , Bledsoe , etc ….and teams would gladly take mulligans on those contracts right now

He was exposed in the playoffs relying on behind the arc to produce . He has no midrange game and was slotted perfectly last year when Jesus carried us .

You cant over pay him , he is not Lowry`s replacement long term .

He is your fourth guy at best on a contending team. We have 2 players hitting 30 mil and OG has to get paid and is a more important piece moving forward .

Masai needs to tweak this roster but not overpaying Fred on a lower cap

As mentioned Boston went hardball with Smart and at 13 mil is a better 2 way player
 
Boston didn't go "hardball" with Smart. He was a restricted free agent, not an unrestricted free agent like Fred. And he signed 2 years ago. And he's not better than Fred.

OG is the one in the similar situation as Smart was 2yrs ago, as a similar caliber 22yr old 1st round pick restricted free agent with one year left, and will re-up for a similar (cap-adjusted) amount as Smart did.
 
Fvv’s on ball defense is so important to nurse’s schemes. Factor in lowreys age and he’d be a huge loss.

Couldn't care less about the cap , don't overpay complimentary 4rth guys

Greta should try and finish high school first before she changes the world
