OT: The Toronto Blue Jays

The Athletic has Bo at 8/212. That seems pretty reasonable, frankly.

yeah i think the general ballpark is pretty clear here, and he's been pretty vocal about wanting to stay, and I can't see the front office not wanting to keep their draft baby and keep this team's core intact.

8-10yrs $200-250m something in there should be settled pretty quickly i think.

I'm not trying to win internet points jerk off, and I could give zero fucks about how valid you or others think my fandom is. 46 years on the planet, and 43 since my first game at the Ex on the million degree aluminum bench seats. Snuck out of the house as a 13 yr old to take the bus and subway down from Rexdale to the Dome for the game 6 watch party to see the first title as live as I could. Picking up the paycheque from my part time job at 14-17 on Friday after school to rush down to the Dome and try to talk my way into the cheapest single I could get from the scalpers, missing the first inning or two because that just how scalpers roll if you're not buying a pair, and doing it every Friday night game I could all season. Motherfucker, I didn't leave them, they left me.
Who you trying to convince?

This might come down to what other teams are willing to do...if teams let him play SS, or act like the knee didn't happen vs what I wouldn't mind seeing---Bo take a huge two year deal with us because he thinks he needs to work himself back up or just say fuck it and sign him long term at second base.

As much as I want to think feelings come into this, they probably only do if all things are equal.

I think he might prefer moving to 2B at this point tbh. It probably feels better to actually be good at a position than not.

I did predict it, my friends.

I’m not even sure how I feel about it though. Guess you can’t go wrong if he’s penciled in as your #3 behind Gaus and Savage.

Even better if we acquire a #1 to be ahead of all of them and bump Bieber to #4.

He’s a straight up bargain!!

Yup, he is. I guess the basis for my reaction is:

It's only 1 year.

He just gave up the WS winning homer in his one inning of Game 7, and, after his very first start, was kinda meh overall.

Middle rotation guy.

He just came back from TJ surgery. He could be a great #3
