OT: What are you Watching/Listening/Drinking?

I grew up on Jiggs dinner most holidays so I do enjoy it but... it's still just a bunch of veg and some meat boiled all in the same pot. If you're used to/enjoy any interesting flavors at all, this ain't it.

Seems like I got off pretty easy for a white cake.

My mom was the one who suffered through a childhood of packaged food and cuts of unseasoned meat broiled to the consistency of shoe leather, so when she got out on her own she was determined to do better when it comes to cuisine.

And by god, did she ever.

We had it every Sunday until I moved out when I was 18. It was on the table at 12pm on the button

In the last 20 years I have had it maybe once a year. I do enjoy it still but for the effort it takes to make it and the clean up after its not worth it
 
Not that it tastes much different but most actually use a rutabaga and call it a turnip because they dont know any better

And yes not matter what you do with it, it tastes terrible. Worst of the root vegetables
