All ICBM's reach hypersonic speeds while they travel outside of the atmosphere, but that's not what a hypersonic missile is. A hypersonic missile is a missile that retains hypersonic speeds (Mach 5 or higher) in it's terminal phase, which these (and all other ICBM's) don't. The German V-2 in the 40's was also a hypersonic missile by the standard the Russians use in their 2024 propaganda.

Yep. Every time information has leaked out about any sort of readiness testing on any of the legacy systems in Russia it comes out looking terrible.
