Because Rielly isn't good defensively, allegedly.

Because most fans honestly don't understand the game they're watching. Running out of position to throw a hit is good defence, "breaking up the cycle" is a requirement of good defence, pussy stick checking and gap control keeping the play to the outside of the ice and limiting chances in the middle of the ice at an average or better rate is bad defence because something something zone time.

Rielly isn't physical and is mediocre at breaking up the cycle. He also occasionally gets lost on defensive zone coverage away from the puck (while facing the best players on earth every night) and that looks like bad defence to most people's eye tests.

Hedman is good on defence because he plays in Tampa Bay and we don't see him look really similar to a bigger version of Rielly every night.

This team can dominate, it just needs goalies that can stop the puck. WTF is going on here?

I know Malgin better than anyone on this board. I have been following this guy for three years.

Why trade a potential warrior for another Petan? What message does that send the team?
 
I just got a huge raise today, should be overjoyed, but this stinking team, keeps dragging me down. I need the blue and white to be at least Raptors lite. Guh.

Thats a major blackeye on Dubas for not addressing the goaltending issue much earlier if this season goes down like that
 
I'm guessing they think that continuing to show faith in Andersen and hoping he can somehow get back to November Freddy, that's the best thing for the team.

But they were so shit in the first 23 games that they may not have the luxury of waiting for him to find his game.

The other thig, and im stretching here is that putting all the blame on Andersen lets some of These lazy fuckers off the hook. By all accounts Andersen is liked, no? These cats should be embarrassed and motivated to perform for him.

I personally only bought into 40% of what i just said
