The 2019-2020 MotherFucking Season Thread

This Leafs identity was always a game built around speed and skill, goading teams into playing their way. This identity held up when the team had decent goaltending. Recently, we are just a fast, soft team that is afraid to make mistakes and ready to hit the showers after 2 periods.
 
Recently we're a slow team because we're missing Rielly, Mikheyev, and Johnsson now. Instead we have Clifford, Spezza, Marchment, Korshkov and other snails totally slowing us down.

Hawks are potentially going into next season with no starter.

Freddy gives them insurance for one more season while they search for a replacement

Do they have anyone in the system capable of stepping in and replacing Lehner or Crawford?

Hes mediocre, they are or should be rebuilding and could keep Crawford for less on a 1 year deal. Andy means nothing to them
 
It’s too bad because if the refs called the rule book and were not “managing the game”, the speed and skill trend would have long since knocked any of the plodders out of the league.
 
What causes the bigger meltdown, overpaying for middling talent who won’t move the needle enough to go on a deep run or standing pat this deadline?

The latter looks closer to becoming a reality and considering the names being thrown around that’s not a bad thing
