The 2019-2020 MotherFucking Season Thread

Bogosian at league minimum would be ok. He’s been injury prone his entire career. Hasn’t been good in many years. But as a reclamation depth project for league min he can come in and compete.

bring at 49 roster spots we’d be right at the max.
 
are there examples of defensemen with poor numbers that got moved to a better situation and we see a significant improvement?

I like Risto also, to a degree. But the major problem is that Risto is the player that the media claims Rielly to be. All offence, defensive tire fire. He's played primarily with McCabe or Montour this season and both have better analytics than he does....basically, both have carried him to even the bad results he's achieved this season.

In a more sheltered role, him being huge, mobile, angry and right handed plays. But the next guy we bring in can't be someone we have to shelter. I'm tired of seeing Rielly drag corpses around and then get blamed for their failings.

Depends on the numbers we're talking about, but yeah. Role and QoT plays a pretty big factor in analytic results. If you're facing top competition with trash bag team mates, and you go somewhere you get to face lesser competition and have better team mates, your numbers will improve.

Ceci is a good example. He actually performed pretty well statistically once he got pushed down our lineup. this year. Shit, even facing top comp with Rielly, he was putting up way better analytics than he was in the same role in Ottawa.

Goat replacement I suppose. But really.. They'd be adding yet another that works contrary to the team's speed identity.

A Clifford-Thornton-Spezza 4th line just feels very... Old school 4th liney. Two washed up big guys with skill and a big plug. Heh.

I wouldn’t say “Hainsey made Rielly” but I do feel Rielly played with more confidence than we have seen from him before.

Rielly made Rielly, and I bet he can do it again with another Hainsey style Dman.

Well we did just see Barrie go from having great numbers with one team, to being terrible with a new team..... If he went back I assume he would do well again.

I think severson is probably better than manson.

If those potential deals were even real you take the Severson package all day.

I like what Manson brings but not at the cost of Kapanen and Dermott
 
With Muzzin rumored to be signed i figure Dermott is the piece Dubas will dangle. With Sandin up, we still have Marincin(barf) as depth.

Sign me up for that Severson deal. Though i wonder if he'll be a Gardiner type where the analytics crowd like but the casuals won't. Smells like a Dubas move.

I think i want Manson the most. Face masher, good defensively, physical infront of net. Muzzin like acquisition.

Get both. Shoot Barrie to another team.
