The Fucking Offseason Thread - Why bother waiting?

Mikky is underrated. Goals will come if he keeps at it. He has all the elements of being a good top sixer, maybe even more than that.

To be clear, I'm not down on the team in any way. I expect it to go far, if not all the way.

Just saying that things are bo-ring this offseason. Need to get training camp going and would like to see some rookie step in or some good trade from out of nowhere to spice things up.
I mean we're in the dog days of the offseason so it makes sense that you are bored. Nothing is happening, so boredom seems like an expected reaction.

more like he has none of the elements of being a good top sixer(other than footspeed).

Mikheyev needs a referral to Hyman's surgeon. maybe then we can talk about him in the top 6....as if the Leafs wouldn't have happily put him there already if the kid could put the puck in the ocean...

well he scored at a 17gl/48pt pace in year 1, with zero PP time, which is.....fantastic, really....esopecially since he got little time on the scoring lines.

here's how that ranked that year i.e. no PP scoring):

1. Matthews 41/65
2. Marner 14/60
3. Nylander 27/51

4. Tavares 25/51
5. Hyman 29/50
6. Mikheyev 14/48

7. Kapanen 16/39
8. Kerfoot 10/32
9. Johnsson 8/31

10. Engvall 14/26
11. Spezza 10/26
12. Clifford 8/20

we should let Keefe know about this right away. that moron isn't giving him any scoring time for some crazy reason.

Keefe hasn't exactly earned infallible status with the way he jerked off useless vets all season and gave no hand love to superior kids.

Indeed - the prime "scoring time" given to the likes of Thornton, Simmonds, Galchenyuk, Vesey last year is likely exactly what prompted Mikky's trade request.
