Winter 2026 Transfer Thread

Dwight McNeil may be on his way to Palace, as a deal sheet has been put in for £20M.
And similiar moves for Wolves for Adam Armstrong (Southampton) and Angel Gomes (on loan from Marseilles). Both returning to the Prem.
And maybe Axel Disasi on loan to West Ham from Chelsea. I think I heard that a deal sheet was submitted for that as well.

The deal sheets give the clubs an extra two hours to work out the details, as I understand it

Oh, and the other big signing of the winter window was the move of Marc Guehi to Man City as well. All the injuries they had at centre back necessitated the move, and Liverpool had expressed no further interest in the player after the failed move in the summer.

Kalvin Phillips. Remember him? Victim of one of the worst moves ever, he killed his career at City, and is now moving on to ... Sheffield United, who are currently 17th in the Championship.

Better Sheffield United than Sheffield Wednesday, still on -7 points after their 18 point deduction. With 51 points available in their last 17 matches, they max out at 44 points and have been eliminated from the promotion playoff. Wrexham hold 6th place on 47 points.

Sheffield United might have lost their grip on this season, but that’s a strong program and they’ll be back knocking on the door in years to come. The Championship with a serious, well run club is a great place for a guy like Phillips to rebuild his game. Now if only players like him would start learning from the mistakes of others and not waste prime years running to the siren call of big money deals on the over stuffed rosters of most of these big clubs. If he had stuck at Leeds, he’d probably be club captain by now and would still be in England’s setup.
