OT: The Toronto Blue Jays

I still feel that there is a massive drop off from the non youth core of this team (and Gurriel) to the others.

None of Fisher, Hernandez, Grichuk, Drury, Tellez, McKinney or Shaw excite me.

At this point to be a 80 win team we are hoping that Vlad hits the fuck out if the ball. He probably will... but this team still isn't good.

They’ve all been varying degrees of trash. Maybe giving them the opportunity next season is a good play and works out but man some of them just have too much swing and miss. I don’t know if there is fixing a ~30k%.

the more I see it the more I hate that Grichuk deal. Unnecessary. I guess there was the chance he was breaking out but not looking good right now.

Im no Grichuk fan, but hes been a two win guy in the past and were kinda stuck there, might be nice to give him a LH platoon partner which is where giving a season to Fisher comes in.

Teo post recall was a legit stick, im okay givibg him one more year to prove he can do that for 162 and maybe make for a passable glove.

Drury and McKinney can fuck off and i only give Rowdy PA if he earns them or a big leaguer gets hurt.

Its okay if Ryu is it this year and we have another eval year. Then go heavy money 21
 
All of this heavily depends on Vlad being what he was projected to be.

I know a lot of people like the look of Bo, but his offensive upside is no where near Vlads (based on all previous projections).

If Bo ends up being a better hitter than Vlad it's likely because Vlad didn't live up to his expectations. And that likely would mean that the Jays are in trouble.

With that said -- I expect a near monster season from Vlad in 2020.

.297/.375./.530

I can see 35-40 dingers and 100+ RBI`s

He is taking the off season seriously , better shape and better prepared

He did what he did as a fat kid simply relying on talent and hype

Its like scoring 25-30 goals in the NHL without trying and being lazy
 
Vlad I believe will hit 40 hrs and have a .295 percentage.
I believe that this team takes it to another level.
Maybe challenging for a wildcard spot until sept.
If the Jay's can stay healthy (they do get alot of injuries) I think they will be fine.

But if they don't progress this year .... I would dispose of the management team currently in place.
Fire their asses out if here .... but as long as Roger's is making money, they will keep twiddle dee and twiddle dumb aboard.

Who are the premium pitchers available this next off season as ufas please?

Depending on options being picked up or extensions , options are slim

Paxton maybe the best with Tanaka

The rest are mainly older vets looking for one last pay day
 
Thanks. Was just looking at the players who may be available ..... I think the Jay's should have blown their load on one of the top 3 available this off season.
Slim pickings ... for the future.
To obtain talents like the ones available this past off season, will only be had in trades now .... making it much much more expensive than just signing them.
