OT: American Politics

I seem to remember those graphs being thrown up around here a lot but I can't recall dates....it might have been during the mid terms...

It's simple HA

If you want to learn how to play hockey, you ask Canadians.
If you want to learn how to play soccer, you ask a Brazilian.
If you want to be the best f'in nation in the world, listening to Canadians is not a bad idea. You seem to be trying some model down there from Mexico or Chile.

It was in the midterms and I was the one posting them.

Funny how those graphs were "slanted" and "not relevant" either and what happened?

Do you realize I live in Toronto? And I'm Canadian? Probably not.

Some of you are so conditioned to think that your point of view is the only "truth and reality" that if any other Canadian has a different point of view, well then, they are from another country or planet.

Sad.

seriously, I can't believe how many times you've been called an Americano.

and....if memory serves, I don't think you posted here during the 08' election.

Sadly many of the people who are against gay marriage won't admit it but they are likely still against mixed race marriages.

Cause if you lean to the right, you like guns and you don't like the community organizer, you got too be a stupid redneck Americano.

I'm not kidding when I say it's sad. It's the kind of urban lefty "one think", which is basically the no-think that the education system and lefty media wants to impose.

I'm not a religious person at all, in fact I am agnostic when it comes to a god and flat out disagree with religion.

However, if I believed in an all knowing, all powerful god I'd probably be convinced that he was a pretty damn good problem solver. He'd look at the fact that the world is becoming over populated and a large percentage of the people are poor and starving and and just how many children are not being cared for. I think god could figure out a way to slow down the rate of procreation. Gay couples can't have children... and hey they could adopt a lot of these unwanted children too.

Gay marriage = God's solution

I guess I confused you with the guy from Florida.

I know it's all Greek to you but here goes.....

Habsy...not very bright guy who lives in Florida.

Lou and HabsAddict.....very bright guys who live in Toronto.

And...because there is always an AND......Habsy has only one arxidi.

You mean the president of the United States of America... with over 3 years of experience.

I mean if you had at one point been a bus but I don't think it would be fair to call you "the bus boy." You'd expect to be thought of as whatever your current position is, no?

And many geniuses and philosphers have given us the key to guiding truly moral thinking - not some silly set of abstract rules to try and fit all our infinite experiences, but a simple, relative aprroach to morality which demands that we assess and determine the morality of all our specific actions according to the situation. Jesus, one of these brilliant men, gave a pretty damn good go at it: "Do unto others as you would have them do unto you". Not a perfect morality, but pretty damn good.

Meanwhile you are stuck with your unrealistic, childlsh, irresponsible "Daddy tells me so" book of thousands of years old rules dreamt up by savage early human civilizations in order to consolidate their power.

grow up, kb, and take on the burden of thinking for yourself.

so you're a "genius" now? and moral/ethical codes that have been evolving for 2000 years are now "silly"?

and still with the fixation on the 2000 year old book stuff and the "religious people are stupid and can't think for themselves" stuff.

Is there some kind of sarcasm quote marks that go in there or are you serious?
