I most certainly can.
Especially when YOU can say that it was a bi-partisan meltdown. McCain/Palin would simply have been the same old thing as one half of the bi-partisan cause of the meltdown. If anything, that alone proves the aaa rating was going to be lost no matter what. Too much damage was done for anybody to recover fast enough in four years.
And Romney has been campaigning all along on keeping the "job creators" from paying more taxes. A big part of the cause of the meltdown in the first place. (And yes, I remember that Obama extended Bush Jr.'s tax cuts - don't remind me.)
Besides, what's the big deal?? Canada's own credit rating fell. EVERYONE's fell in that melt down. Who the **** cares? Suddenly this is a big issue? At election time?
The entire world economy melted away, and so did everyone's credit rating. Big ****ing deal.
