blow me. you think i only said this after "getting my talking points from the GOP today". go back and look at the realtime commentary. i was saying this about crowley as it was happening.

In Fox fashion they did not play the whole rose garden address where Obama made his "No act of terror" statements. The rest of the timeline is curious though.
 
Saw a youtube clip of Glenn Beck claiming Benghazi is a bigger cover up than Watergate so there you have it.

it looks to me like they might have wanted to investigate before jumping to a conclusion about what happened in benghazi. strange that they stuck with it, though. especially after intelligence from the region saying benghazi had nothing to do with the video.

I don't buy it. When you want to investigate you don't put forth a bullshit story like spontaneous demonstration. You simply say you are withholding comment until the investigation is complete.
 
Here is what I think happened. One genius in intelligence floated this idea in a memo. Another genius up the line thought hey, that is plausible. The WH decided to go with it because it sounds softer than a terrorist attack. Then when they realized it was backfiring badly they had to start damage control.

Remember, a bigger scandal than Watergate.

I most certainly can.
Especially when YOU can say that it was a bi-partisan meltdown. McCain/Palin would simply have been the same old thing as one half of the bi-partisan cause of the meltdown. If anything, that alone proves the aaa rating was going to be lost no matter what. Too much damage was done for anybody to recover fast enough in four years.
And Romney has been campaigning all along on keeping the "job creators" from paying more taxes. A big part of the cause of the meltdown in the first place. (And yes, I remember that Obama extended Bush Jr.'s tax cuts - don't remind me.)
Besides, what's the big deal?? Canada's own credit rating fell. EVERYONE's fell in that melt down. Who the **** cares? Suddenly this is a big issue? At election time?
The entire world economy melted away, and so did everyone's credit rating. Big ****ing deal.

Actually you can't. Because you haven't the ability to slip into alternate realities, you cannot unequivocally say they would have lost their aaa rating with McCain. You can make an educated guess but that is entirely different.
