Federer lost in the third round to Monfils.

Popsicle gave Federer a run for his money today but lost in the semi final. They were saying he should move into the top 35.

It was a great match. Pospisil is the real deal. In many ways he gave Federer more difficulty than Raonic probably could because his game is more balanced than Milos. Federer wasn't great in the match but he was in the final few games of the 3rd set where Pospisil was amazing.

We may actually win the Davis Cup next year the way our two young Canadian lads are improving their game.

Vasek might be a late bloomer, but a 16-16 record for a nearly 24 year old doesn't impress me much. Esp. Considering he's never even sniffed the top 30.

Milos has taken Fed the distance 2 of the last 3 times he's played him. Once as a 21 year old. Roanic will beat Fed the next time he plays him and would have finished him in this final forsure. Fed isn't even close to the player he once was.

This is sad for me to watch even though it was inevitable.

I was hoping Fed would retire when he was still at or near the top of the rankings. He still can...
