Gamethread: Feb 13 - Canada V Norway

Can't blame Norway or any of the other non contenders for doing everything possible to keep it close. They doesn't want to be relegated.
 
I'm not huge on the Olympics and I miss my Leafs, but good lord you guys are a miserable bunch. You'd think you guys were watching Schindler's List after that display of posting. Pick it up, boys.

It's like that for most Leaf games too, don't kid yourself.
 
Listened to talk radio today and one guy came on and said this game was proof of how "overrated" the NHL is and how it shows that the difference between an elite NHL'er and other professional hockey players is "virtually nothing".

Ya...no.
 
Not only did they play ugly, but we were forced to watch guys like kunitz marleau bergeron and carter get tons of ice time in what is supposd to be a tournament of stars.

Its crap.

They out chanced Norway 24-4.
 
They were mixing lines a ton though, I don't really think we'll see anything set til they play Finland. And with Subban and Duchene in tomorrow, I assume we'll see the same thing.

When I watch hockey, I tend to enjoy myself. Not sure why I would watch if it makes me whine about everything nonstop.

With that said, I didn't' see the game so maybe there was something horrifying that occurred that didn't have to do with dudes playing a sport.

They probably kept Bobby Ryan off the American team because they knew he wouldn't be able to handle the jet lag...
