OT: Movies/TV Shows

Mr. Robot has been okay. Started out pretty good but has seemed to tail off a bit. Reminds me of the first season of SOA that way.

Narcos first two episodes seem pretty cool. Hopefully it builds off that.
 
The new Vacation was pretty damn funny. Definitely a lot better than I expected. A lot of really good laughs.

Funny you'd mention SOA, as any clips I see of 'I Robot'...it just strikes me as a second rate show. Which is the same sense I got from clips of SOA, or a Ray Donovan....always ends up stopping me from checking them out.

For that matter, "Narcos" kind of does as well.....but some people whose taste I trust pretty well, really think highly of it, so I'll check it out. Just can't pull the trigger on 'I Robot' or 'Ray Donovan' tho.

You may be correct about the other stuff... but you are definitely way wrong on Ray Donovan. There is nothing second rate about it whatsoever. It's great from the acting to writing to production. Liev Schreiber and John Voight are spectacular.

Oh ya. I Robot is more Walking Dead, SOA type and less Wire / GoT type.

This is a stupid argument...

Some shows are the best of all time - Breaking Bad, GoT - then you have a big melange mixed with some crap.

The "top tier" is pretty much unattainable.

Because you're so high in your praise for 'Ray Donovan' I've been leaning towards giving it a shot at some point.....figured I'd give Grantland a look just now, and see what their reviews for it where like, etc.....
