Well, they've won a bunch of regular season games so that's something. More than the Leafs can say. Their lack of talent up front has been exposed in the playoffs again and again though, and I don't see that changing this year. It's one thing to win 2-1 games against the mediocre teams of the league, it's another to win 4/7 against legit good teams.

Couldn't watch the game tonight but by the sounds of it the Leafs put up a solid effort and outplayed the Habs, losses like that I can more then live with. However two things where I feel Babcock has ****ed up on is 1) Running with Bernier as the top goalie 2) Not putting Rielly out there with Dion... other then that can't complain.

I like the D minutes being evenly spread. They all played stronger than we've been accustomed to tonight.

How were your defensive stats last year (aside from GAA and GA, which were solely on Price)? How was your offense? How was your PP? How was any stat that didn't rely on the one guy manning the net for you?

If stats are conjecture, then you're right, it's all conjecture.

You forgot to add they were 5-6-3 when Price wasn't in the line up last season ... thats a 76 point pace over an 82 game season.

At least the Habs didn't have to start their game with a deficit, like we so often do. Not that it matters that much anymore, since we lack finish, but in this game, we wouldn't have pulled the netminder in the final minutes to try and tie it if only Bernier could have learned to stop the first shot on net.
At least we know what we have... and don't have.
 
Bernier is a least a goaltender, possibly, are we still debating on this board whether Reimer is better, or even an NHL goaltender? Really? Schenn I hope to god has been put to bed, Reimer is his clone brother. A guy, just gracefully heading to palooka ville. Guy just doesn't have it, never really did for any length of time. What is the fascination with this guy? He stinks. In the bright lights of Toronto or anywhere else in the NHL. Guy has a fork in him, leave it be. Seems like a nice guy, hope he has put away a ton.
