OT: American Politics

You need to get your nose out of Clinton's behind. She's horrible.

That's not an endorsement for any candidate, it's just a statement. Hillary is just another train wreck

I agree with this.

Best option for America is probably Sanders, though I don't think he has a hope in hell of winning. Dude is living in the wrong country.

I think Trump is the odds on favorite. His caveman game is working.

Holy shit. I actually agree with Trump over Hillary, but Sanders over everyone??

He's living in the wrong country and in the wrong hemisphere and during the wrong century for his socialist (communist?) shit to actually make sense.

That's why he'd never win. Once they focused on the many things he'd said and done in the past labelling him a socialist he'd be toast in this country.

I'm surprised Biden isn't running. With such a weak field he could probably win, even with his foot in his mouth.

sorry, no. donald trump would be a complete disaster of a president and clinton is an immeasurably better candidate.

to think that a few years ago people were calling obama an out of touch elitist.,,

we are talking about one of the world's most notorious elitists. a candidate who hasn't articulated any coherent policies. a salesman who is great at branding and self aggrandizing and terrible at just about everything else (including running a business).

if you take everything trump has said while stumping on its face he would lead the highest spending, most directionless government ever. ever. he wants to build 5000 mile long walls along the country's north and south borders. he wants to close the borders to immigration (which has been one of the harbingers of american growth). he wants to put troops on the ground across the middle east. he wants to raise tariffs and antagonize china. he insists global warming was invented by the chinese. he has antagonized the scous (including the republican appointed chief justice). he has claimed that vaccinations cause autism. he has also shown himself to be an intolerant racist.

he is the least fit presidential candidate, perhaps ever.

he's getting traction, sure.

but it'll be a real uphill battle to win with 25% support from women and 0% from latinos.

I swear to God, I honestly thought anyone with an iq of over 15 would have figured this out by now. Certainly the people who have made this ludicrous comment over the last couple of pages.

It's one thing to hate Hillary Clinton (I get it), it's another thing to not want a female president (which is stupid), and another thing to like the way he ignores political correctness (again, I get it), but there is no way Trump would be better than ANY of these candidates. Who the **** would want somebody this dim and with such a hair-trigger temper (he literally CANNOT stand even the slightest bit of criticism, watch the way he responds to it) running the United States. What makes him capable? It's not his business sense (4 bankruptcies), that's for goddamn sure. Is it his skill at pandering to the lowest common denominator? It's absurd, I feel like I am being punk'd or something.

In the same way that World War 3 has a ring to it.

Don't really agree with this point, Bloomberg will suck up some Dems and independents, but also any remotely-moderate Republicans with functioning brain cells. Still think Hillary would win but it'd be closer than Trump or Cruz.

It's progressives, the bunch that gave Obama the White House, who will flock to Bloomberg once Hillary and Trump start hammering on him in an attempt to hold their ground against him among independents and moderate Republicans who Trump might turn off. It's way more likely though that moderate Republicans stay home than it is for them to vote Hillary though. Those aren't really Trumps votes anyway.

If Bloomberg runs, we'll have two Manhattan billionaires running for President in a year where the Mainstreet GOP crackers are in full rebellion mode. Orwell would be impressed/scared.

Maybe the Monopoly Man and Mr. Peanut can get in on this.

Trump won't win. I really don't get all the trepidation. You're likely looking at a Cruz nomination.

I'm interested in seeing what happens to the votes that free up when Bush, Christie, and the rest drop out soon. It's not all that much, but could bolster Cruz well if the land in his pile.
