Please just hold McDavid off the scoresheet.

I'm so sick of the "Toronto boy comes home and torches the Leafs" storylines, and he already put up five points in his one game against us last year.

Yeah, I'm resigned to it. It happens every time a young Toronto-born star rolls through town, especially for the first time.

Maybe as long as we can keep him from doing something really embarrassing---like scoring a hat trick and/or five points, that'll be good enough.
 
After an ugly start to the season, Talbot has let in only 5 goals in his last 6 games. That's hot.

Need the young guns to give this guy a cold shower. Break his hot streak and the Leafs cold streak all at once, please.

All you can do with a player like McDavid is try to minimize the damage he does. Looking at you, Freddy.

I don't blame the league for pumping this up, but it's going to take a while for these teams to be worthy of the hype, even if some players are ready now.
 
We're going to meet in the Stanley Cup finals at least once in the next five years, so it's not that early.
 
I know people probably expect Sosh to make his way back to the kadri line eventually but i kinda hope he's in the mix to take Hyman's spot on the matthews line.
