OT: Movies/TV Shows

^ Never seen it. Probably never will. I have zero interest in GoT. Which sucks cause everyone in real life is balls deep in it. :(
 
Dude you would love it.

My bro mocked me endlessly for watching it. And he's a man of conviction and exclusive taste. And as soon as he watched one he had binged all the seasons in a week or two.

It's the best show.
 
I'm saving it. Looking forward to binge watching it for like a month eventually. Probably after this hockey season.

I definitely want to watch GOT, but haven't gotten around to it yet. Still need to watch The Wire as well, so maybe I need to revoke my TV credentials.

Did just finish S1 of the Netflix Medici: Masters of Florence series, and it was pretty solid overall. Not like an OMG must watch immediately, but fairly solid for a historical(ish) banking/political drama.

I've known some people who I NEVER would have expected to like it who rant and rave about it. I have no doubts it's well written and well produced, but with me, that whole style (genre perhaps?) with like... dragons, mythical creatures, etc... it just doesn't interest me at all.

that is the thing

there is really very little about dragons and creatures until much much later and even then there is not that much

it is mostly a medieval story
 
I get it. Everyone thinks its lord of the rings fantasy crap but it's not.

It's a vicious murderous political thriller with the best characters on TV.

It's the best.

the worst part of the series is the "dragons"

(worst part of the books as well)
 
I shouldn't have said dragons per se, but that whole style/era. Like even medieval stuff. I don't know. Just not my thing. Don't get me wrong... I love murder.
 
I can't... for realz. I'm way too graphic. I actually thought I was doing well to tone it down, but I overshot it by a mile. My actual sense of humor would get me banned from here for life. :(
