The thing with Price though is he'll have like a stretch of 5-7 games in a season where he'll be remarkable and then the usual "best goalie in the world" garbage gets its airtime around the league for two weeks. And that two weeks somehow colors his entire season. His PR team is second to none.Carey Price’s enduring reputation really is incredible to me. We’re now five years removed from him being a stud in back-to-back years in 2013/14 & 2014/15.
Since then:
2015/16: Missed all but 12 games to injury
2016/17: Above-average
2017/18: Godawful
2018/19: Above-average
2019/20: Godawful
...and yet there’s no shortage of fans and media who have the assumption that Price will be elite baked into their analysis of the Habs.
I mean, it’s not impossible that it’ll happen. But it’s about as likely as Joe Thornton turning back the clock by five years and scoring at a first-line clip for us this season.
we disagree on this. I think if he cracks top-10 yall should be thrilled. but more realistically I think he finishes 10-20.

Literally just like every other decent goalie out there, except that their hot stretches aren't as newsworthy for some reason and are quickly forgotten.

It will probably be back to back or 3 in 4... with wednesday, Thursday and maybe Saturday as welljust play all 10 or 9 games in a row
I dont mind them leaving the 4th line spot for RPHabs add frolik.
You would think they'd go for some center depth. They don't really have a 4th C and none of their wingers can fill in at C either, except I guess maybe Drouin except he sucks at it.
it would be so much fun / so much stressIt will probably be back to back or 3 in 4... with wednesday, Thursday and maybe Saturday as well
and GMs
but it is much more possible that Price has a great year than Joe but both are unlikely
I cant see sportsnet not pushing for battle of Alberta and leafs vs habs on the first sat night of the season. Then some winnipeg vs vancouver on sunday "hometown hockey"it would be so much fun / so much stress
