I don't want to wish for an opponent over another, but I feel that if Calgary squeaks in, they would be a tougher matchup. You just never know if Sutter can get them to clutch and grab their way to a first round upset.

I would prefer Montreal, because if it comes down to the wire, that would mean montreal would have to be pretty damn shiite, and Calgary would be on a heater.

On one hand, good for him.

On the other hand, Marleau’s record pursuits do feel kind of selfish.

Kind of left a sour taste in my mouth the way he prioritized keeping his consecutive games streak going while in Toronto ahead of being rested up for the playoffs.

He’s also been clearly finished as an NHL-calibre player for at least three seasons now, but he’s kept going just to get this games played record.
