7. Hyman 1:33 (.07gpg/.12ppg)
8. Spezza 1:32 (.02gpg/.12ppg)
Nobody else has had any real PP time this year.
When they try to split up the units, it's Thornton and simmonds that go on the top unit with Hyman and Spezza on the 2nd unit. This isn't actually a compliment to Thornton and simmonds though imo - it's just the hope that they can do just enough in their roles in front that matthews and marner can make that unit work anyways.
Their PP skills is one of the reasons they were signed, after all.
But with the the adds of Galchenyuk and Foligno, and maybe even Robertson, it's getting close to Last Chance Motel for those guys in that role....they're on the 2nd unit now, but if they don't produce there they're not just off the PP but maybe out of the lineup altogether. I know it seems like they've gotten way too many chances but remember they both missed a large chunk (30-40%) of the season so far.
But if they can't produce soon, we may see a second unit looking like this soon enough:
Hyman
Spezza ------ Galchenyuk - Robertson
