There’s good and bad to the PPC becoming an actual thing, I guess.
There's some serious potential for comedy if Max Bernier loses his own riding, but one of the other lunatics he recruited wins in some redneck riding way out in the sticks. Then Max might get ousted from the leadership of his own vanity project, after sacrificing his own political career, decency and credibility to create it.
I've also long wanted to see the wingnut, far-right faction of the CPC's break off and form their own party again. Both to split the vote on the right, and to hopefully get the CPC to move back towards the center and maybe provide another credible alternative worthy of consideration.
At the same time, the larger the number of Canadians who actually support this shit, the sadder that'll be.
