BTW, since it's brought up so much this week with Iginla getting into the HHOF, that 2004 'Goal" by Gelinas would have never counted at all. Refs need it to be conclusive. It's far from it.
True. But I will say his 2006 deadline deals were the best ever by a GM. Brilliant. To be fair Lowe is also a mediocre to shit exec
And of course he needs to take a little dig at the Leafs. centre of the universe.

They've always allowed more clutching in the playoffs. That regular season was crazy with offensive numbers though. It started to creep into the regular season the next year when Lemaire was hired by Jersey. So i watched a chunk of this because of the fond memories of it..
But
HOLY FUCK
the clutching and the grabbing and the obstruction sweet jesus
and was the game sooooo s l o w back then....
the players all seem so tiny.
Great to watch.... that near goal by Berg at the end of the third, i remember jumping right out of my seat on that one i thought for sure it was a goal
I'll see that bet and raise you the Vancouver Canucks. The irony is that no team gets as much undeserved credit as the Oilers.

It's kind of funny the playoff reputation Yzerman had in 93 compared to now.
Yes.Yzerman is exactly why you don’t dump Marner and Matthews.
