I definitely called this back when Dubas signed Simmonds and opted to pass on Perry. Pretty frustrating to see what the two players have gone on to do since then.

Super annoying.

I mean, the domino effect too...

If we had Perry, does Tavares get injured last year? If he's healthy and we roll over the Habs, how much further do we get? If we end up meeting TB like they did, which we must have if they did, do we come out on top? Maybe not, but then with at least a couple of rounds won last year, do we have the confidence to close out TB this year?

Their shot blocking really changed the series for the Leafs. They weren't doing that much prior to game 6.

The Leafs D is great at it. Tavares, Marner, Matthews, Blackwell, Kerfoot, Kase all as good as any TBay forward (2-3 blocks/60). Even WIlly was doing it a bit (1.4), but:

9 of the bottom 11 in the series were Leafs.
