See you can't go through life trying not to piss anyone off. Someone is always going to get pissed off. It's not that difficult but people make it so. I realized long ago that people will get pissed off regardless. So be it. If it sparks thought then it succeeded.

Not really what I'm saying. As Habsy said, you can't go through life trying not to piss anyone off.

But an Insta selfie might not cut it with gun control legislation.

And perhaps he should have spoken about it solely as an individual within his indigenous community, without any reference to CCFR

See I don't know anything about this CCFR but I'm imagining it's like one of the many wacko groups we have here so I get the grimace on most people's faces. What I don't get are the beat downs by people that aren't exactly model citizens.

The hypocrisy of the species hurts my brain. Humans are greatly "imperfect" and that's kinda the sauce in life. Expecting emotional beings to be programmed automatons acting "perfectly" is ridiculous. Humans are programmed to be idiots and never underestimate the ingenuity of an idiot.

I understand what both of you are saying

My point is athletes need to be careful how shit gets scrutinized in social media , maybe saying or doing nothing is the way to go

Price had to know the shit storm that follows

saying nothing also gets you in trouble, remember all the athletes who were shit on for not screaming BLM two years ago? Hell, Subban was basically called an Uncle Tom by Smith-Belly for not taking a knee during the anthem. There was also a "silence is violence" argument and that if you did not vocally and enthusiastically support X, then you were clearly against it.
