GDT | Sometimes you can’t rely on other people’s good luck

The probabilities mean nothing. Anything can still happen, and the fact that it's remote doesn't really detract from the intrigue for me.

I guess it hinges on whether you're optimistic in general or not. By nature I'm envisioning something special happening, and whether it does or not, that's out of my hands. It doesn't take away from the excitement of the game and the chance of winning 1 and then upping the odds by that much more. As CH said, Florida has won 6 in a row since being down 3-1 in the series on Marchand's stick on a breakaway to end regulation in game 5. Just as our shit luck has to flip soon, their crazy luck can't continue like this either. Maybe it runs out today.
I'm optimistic with most things as long as there is a sense of realism surrounding it. There is not much realism involved in expecting them to win the series. That would be madness. It is a lot to ask, especially for a team that has been very good for a long while yet.

I think that if they win tonight they have a decent shot of getting to a game 6. And that game 6 would be the most difficult game to win I think. In their barn, with that sense of desperation likely returning for them.

But the biggest thing is that this team has to start playing better hockey than they've played all playoff... And for most of the season as well. They need to get a level that they haven't been at since maybe last years series vs Tampa. And maybe beat that. To put it simply, they need to flat out dominate if they want the best odds of winning 4 straight.

I don't want to hear about bad luck if they lose another tight game.. Tight games aren't gonna be good enough here.

It's a game by game thing. How many times have they won 4 in a row? They just won 4 of 5 against TB in a high stress situation. During the regular season, they won 4 straight three separate times.

Just try to win one at a time and forget about the rest. That's the only strategy. 1 game do or die series, four times.

I said to my wife monday that I was done, not gonna watch them shit the bed again.

Right now I'm watching the clock waiting for game time. Fuckers got me pulled back in and hoping hard for a win tonight.

I'll never fucking learn I guess.

GO LEAFS!!!!

Alright, fuck it, I'm buying the dip. Let's go

Not today bitches, not today.

Only four teams have successfully battled back from down three games to none to win the series 4-3: the 1942 Maple Leafs, the 1975 Islanders, the 2010 Flyers and the 2014 Kings.

Win or lose all I ask is that they play to their maximum potential for the full 60 minutes...not the usual 5 mins when the mood strikes them. Let the train wreck commence.
