OT: The News Thread

Am i a bad person? Yep.

Nah, I think stuff like this has to start to be viewed on a macro societal level. Billionaires have turned out to be horrific for society and the planet. They can go.

So when some dipshit with too much money and a general disdain for the poors Darwin's himself at the bottom of the ocean because the playstation controller he uses to power his poorly engineered (because fuck those nerds, if they were actually smart they would be billionaires like him) sub runs out of batteries...womp fucking womp.

The ultra wealthy have been waging a quiet war against us for decades. Fuck'em.

if I lived in colorado, i wonder if i may have gone to an outdoor concert at Red Rocks here in this late June part of the calendar and OH MY GOD---

The missing white blonde lady effect.

People go missing all over America every day and the media doesn't give a fuck until it's a photogenic blonde haired white girl/woman.
I think the reality is, the public wants to hear about these missing cute white women and they also want to hear about the Titanic submersible and not the migrant ship. Not sure it's on media, as it is just what majority wants. Web hits, ratings, social media comments/interest are what's driving stories talked about the most.
People are obsessed with Titanic in general, so I get why this is a story. The movie was the biggest hit ever when it came out. Migrant ship, while tragic is happening a lot and is so depressing (Yes, submersible will very likely end in a sad tragedy itself).

This is the end of tours to the Titanic in our lifetime.
As someone who watched Cameron's trips to the Titanic, and what he was in, it seems insane that shitty POS could be deemed safe with how deep it is.
