Yes, I want to lose with them than try to win with Domi/Brodie/McCabe, because we've lost with them the last two tries.

3v3 is random. The Leafs had so many better chances than what Columbus scored on.
Hell of a game though. The end of the third was the loudest over heard the acc in a long time and it was maybe half full at that point.
Though Matthews was awesome all game. Reaves too. His best game of the year.

Although I heard lebrun today said today thst Tanev seems to get hurt a bit because despite his size and weight, he plays like a lighter player. I did not like the sounds of that

He went undrafted (despite his hockey skills) because he was pretty short & skinny. Then around 18 (after the draft), he had a big growth spurt & gained a bunch of weight. Think his "play style" might be just a carry over from his 'smallish' days. He was hurt a fair bit in Vancouver as well so its not just because he's north of 30 years old now.

I wouldn't say there is no strategy. But its just the first one to score, and both teams will 100% get chances so the results are not actually indicative of anything. But anything you can do to get more/give up less the better.

3 on 3 only seems random because of the lower sample compared to 5 on 5; so in a 5 minute period anyone can score first yeah. Theoretically it should be less random over a longer term timeframe though. The teams will high end skill absolutely have an obscene advantage the more space they have.

I think the format lends itself even more to speed than skill. Which is why willy and even domi are good 3 on 3, Matthews and Marner (both good skaters but they like to slow the game down with the puck) just ok JT DOODOO
Which does make it a bit random even over bigger samples
